The new standard Barbering Professional L2 qualification has been designed and trialled by employers to ensure barber-shop floor ready qualified staff at a level 2 standard. There is a new holistic approach and trend to the qualification, where full services will have a mandatory end-point assessment.  Theory training with City & Guilds external online exams in each unit will be delivered by IFL training consultants, practical barbering will be taught by the employer in line with the qualification requirements and assessed by a qualified assessed. By the end of approximately 18 months level 2 apprentices will be able to offer full barbering including shaving services in a commercial barber shop.

During the qualification you will cover mandatory units:

• Customer Service
• Consultation
• Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
• Cutting hair using barbering techniques to create a variety of looks
• Style and finish men’s hair
• Cut facial hair to shape
• Provide shaving services
